Fredericks started in a small shop in the Marlands Southampton developing our chocolates skills and entering the world of sweetie shops. We then moved to our current premises thus allowing us to  develop the chocolate cafe,  sweet shop and chocolate workshops. We have tried to incorporate as much as we can into our website and give you the chance of purchasing our wonderful range of products online as well as the option of visiting our store in Southampton.
Mark and I deliberated on the name of our shop for quite a while and we very much wanted something that would not only be a great name but a name that would bring our two families together. Frederick is the first name of Mark’s dad and is also the first name of Jan’s late dad making it a perfect fit. It’s a great talking point for anyone wanting to know our history.
We are very much a family run business, all of our sons have at some point worked with us and we consider all our staff, past and present, to be extended members of our family whatever they are doing now.
Our original tag line with a radio campaign that we run over 10 years ago was Fall in love…with Fredericks. We hope you do.
